Google began rolling out its monthly software update for eligible Pixel smartphones on Tuesday. The latest Android 16 build for Google Pixel phones, it carries fixes for several system issues which were discovered in previous iterations. Xbox Game Pass is adding Assassin’s Creed Mirage as part of the first wave of games joining the service in August. The action-adventure game, which served as a prequel spin-off to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, will be available on PC, Xbox consoles, and Xbox Cloud from August 7. OpenAI released two open-source artificial intelligence (AI) models on Tuesday. This marks the San Francisco-based AI firm’s first contribution to the open community since 2019, when GPT-2 was open sourced. The two new models, dubbed gpt-oss-120b and gpt-oss-20b, are said to offer comparable performance to the o3 and o3-mini models. Nothing’s Essential Space has been updated with two new sharing-related improvements that make it easier to transfer information stored on the company’s phones.
