From investing in your personal brand to zeroing in on your purpose, the Center Parcs CMO believes modern marketing leaders should learn to evolve.
Marketers should be open to their aspirations, purpose and leadership style evolving as they grow in their careers, says Center Parcs CMO Sara Holt.
Speaking at the inaugural WACL Talent Festival in Manchester (20 May) in conversation with Aurora CEO Dawn Paine, Holt reflected on the path that led her to joining Center Parcs in March in the newly created UK and Ireland CMO role. The move brought to a close more than five years at Merlin Entertainments, where she latterly served as group marketing and sales director.
“Part of what I went through last year was I thought I didn’t ever want to be a CMO. I wanted to be an MD or run a business unit next, and then I went on this massive journey and realised I do want to be a CMO in a UK business,” she recalled.
