The social-media and tech giant posted fourth-quarter revenue of $48.39 billion, above the analyst consensus compiled by Visible Alpha. Its net income of $20.84 billion, or $8.02 per share, rose from $14.02 billion, or $5.33 per share, a year earlier, also topping projections. The UK government has announced its decision to dispose of 140 tonnes of radioactive plutonium stored at the Sellafield site in Cumbria. This stockpile, the largest of its kind globally, has been accumulated over decades as a by-product of nuclear fuel reprocessing. Ola Electric will launch a new electric scooter based on its third generation platform this week, the company announced on Wednesday. TOKYO (Reuters) – Toyota Motor sold 10.8 million vehicles in 2024, it said on Thursday, remaining the world’s top-selling automaker for a fifth straight year. The Japanese automaker posted a 3.7% drop in global group unit sales last year, including those of compact car maker Daihatsu and truck unit Hino Motors.
