Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are never out of the public eye, but their two kids — Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3 — are another matter. The Sussex children weren’t featured on the family’s 2023 holiday card, and they’re photographed only from the back in one shot included on the just-released 2024 card, which features multiple images of their famous parents.Given the level of interest in what little physical details we see of Archie and Lilibet — red hair and knee socks, mostly — it’s not hard to see why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been more hesitant…
Monday’s swift sell-off in the markets serves as a reminder for not only what’s been the driving force of the bull market thus far, but also what investors have been expecting to come in 2025. It’s all about Big Tech earnings. New developments from Chinese artificial intelligence company DeepSeek sparked the rout as investor concerns over brewing competition in the AI space for Nvidia (NVDA) and other Big Tech names prompted a pause in the US AI trade. Nvidia stock dropped more than 16%. Meanwhile, fellow «Magnificent Seven» members Microsoft (MSFT), Alphabet (GOOGL,GOOG), and Tesla (TSLA) were all off 2%…

Food is one of the necessities that’s seen outsize inflation in recent years, which has disproportionately impacted the lowest-income Americans.Justin Sullivan/Getty Images The lowest-income households have experienced the highest level of inflation in recent years. Lower-income people spend much of their income on items like food and housing, for which costs have spiked. Moderating rental rates and steady wage growth could help these households feel relief. Rising prices across the US economy have impacted every American over the past few years, but the lowest-income households have faced the greatest burden. The dynamic is reflected in the chart below, which shows…
CNN — Passengers flying Spirit Airlines might need to conceal some tattoos or put on more clothing for their next flight, according to the airline’s updated contract for travelers. As of January 22, Spirit has updated its contract of carriage, declaring passengers “shall not be permitted to board” or “may be required to leave an aircraft” if they are “barefoot or inadequately clothed, or whose clothing or article, including body art, is lewd, obscene, or offensive in nature.” It also describes “inadequately clothed” as “see-through clothing, not adequately covered, exposed breasts, buttocks or other private parts.” Fashion choices have long…
Dr Martens has reported a 5% drop in its EMEA DTC revenue, despite overall Q3 group revenues rising by 3% (on a constant currency basis) to £267m. A weaker performance in UK and Germany was attributed to the falling EMEA revenue, alongside “deep and prolonged discounts on the high street”, with Dr Martens not partaking in the same level of promotional activity as its competitors. At a group level, ecommerce sales rose 2% during the quarter on a constant currency basis, with DTC up 1%, retail sales down 1% and wholesale revenue rising by 9%. While EMEA DTC revenue stalled,…
It was early summer break in 2023 — the part where kids are excited to be out of school and working parents are trying to balance their need to make money with paying for summer camp with taking kids on summertime adventures. That’s when freelance journalist Meg St-Esprit got a “snippy” response from a work contact when she didn’t respond immediately to an email. “I generally reply quickly, but there’s not this expectation that it’s instant messaging,” she tells Yahoo Life.So she updated her email signature. It read: “I may be slower to respond in the months of June, July…
It took Rodial founder Maria Hatzistefanis five years to become an overnight success. She started her brand in 1999, using her own savings of £20,000 ($25,600) to develop a small range of prestige skincare products and getting them to market. She did her own warehousing, packing and public relations, and admitted that she took a risk when hiring a sales manager, because the business “couldn’t afford” such an expense.“It was a very lonely time,” recalled Hatzistefanis, adding that then, there weren’t many investors eager to work with indie beauty brands. But in 2004, the business found a hit in its playfully…
